Atmospheric, twisty, and quietly unsettling. I loved the wanderlust-meets-mystery vibe as Katy follows her missing sister‘s road trip across Australia. There were thoughtful twists, an interesting setting, and I appreciated the final author‘s note on gendered violence. It slowed down a bit post-climax, but still an enjoyable read. 3.75 ⭐️s

This was an engaging thriller, so good! The ending didn't play out as expected....not necessary a bad thing, of course. I'm not big on travel, but parts of this story pull you into what draws people to wander. It also makes you feel how vulnerable it could be as well.

I was hooked early and the mysteries kept me turning pages. But I didn't connect with any of the characters and I had to force myself to finish. It wasn't bad but I didn't actually care about what was going on.
This is has excellent reviews everywhere so maybe it's me.

I'm getting invested in this, so I'm reading a little when I should be focused on working. 🙃 Or, if not working, cleaning my desk off so I have more than 1 square foot of work space! I'm starting to feel squeezed between the computer monitors on one side and a wall of books on the other. 😬

Watch out for the twists and turns on this road trip! I was intrigued from the beginning and definitely didn‘t know where it was going. I really liked the atmospheric Western Australian setting and appreciated the insightful author‘s note at the end. 🎧

Normally, Colored Television would be a no-brainer from @AardvarkBookClub but I‘m hoping to see Senna Saturday at Parnassus and get a signed copy. I‘m psyched about these three, though!! #aardvark

This thriller gripped me from the get-go!! With three perspectives, brief chapters and a stunning backdrop, I couldn‘t put this down! It opens with Katy, retracing the missing Phoebe‘s Western Australian solo roadtrip, desperate for any clue as to what happened to her. When she gets a bad vibe at a campsite, she leaves— only to be almost run off the road. And when she pulls over, exits her van for a few moments, she returns to breathing blankets!

Red River Road

I throughly enjoyed this book. It kept me turning the pages and guessing until the big reveal. I did figure out part but it didn't take from the story at all. It's excellent.

How dangerous is it for women to travel alone in Australia? If you've seen "Wolf Lake" you'd probably be cautious and I'm not sure "Red River Road" would console you.

The twists & turners will have you reevaluating everything you've read.
