I bought it because it was pretty 😂

Picked this one up because of the reading smut podcast. I think it‘s my first Minotaur romance. This romance had a lot of story, which I like. Aspeth wants to join a guild but women aren‘t allowed, so she needs to find a chaperone. So she gets married in order to join and find artifacts. She has a lot of secrets and is hiding who she is. I really liked it and will continue this series.

I really liked the characters, the world and the non-romance fantasy plot. A little bit magical school, a little bit dungeon crawl-very fun. What made me not love this was the romance. The monster/somewhat omegaverse erotic portions of this book were repetitive-this book is definitely too long-and I never really felt a true connection between the characters. I wanted to love this, but ultimately I was disappointed. 3⭐️

I absolutely adored this book. The world-building was so much fun! All the characters had so much personality; I loved the Five. I‘m in love with Aspeth and Hawk‘s love, I‘m in love with the beautiful book itself (the cover and the edges are gorgeous!), and even Squeaker has a bit of my heart. All the stars and hearts and spicy pepper emojis.

@TheAromaofBooks #iSpy #ispybingo progress for January! I run all boards all year, with the aim of filling them, allowing multi-dipping. Always get off to a good start as a result.
Not quite any Bingo lines yet, but I'll get there!

I adore Ruby Dixon. I kept taking reading breaks on Christmas Day so I could find out what happened next. A big thanks to @MeganAnn for the recommendation. (I was putting it off until I read your review.)

I don‘t know what it is about Ruby Dixon‘s writing, but she always hooks me in quickly and keeps me entertained throughout. This was no exception. In fact I stayed up way too late reading this every night leading up to Thanksgiving.
I loved the idea of hunting magical artifacts in this sort of underground ancient ruins like some kind of Indiana Jones type guild. I enjoyed the world building and can‘t wait to read more in this series. ⬇️

My staycation is already almost to an end. Back to work on Monday. For my last read of it, I'm starting the new Ruby Dixon.
Peri and I just finished our walk.

Here me out....

Yes, I absolutely bought this minotaur romance book! DON'T JUDGE ME, OKAY?! 😇 In my defense, look at how gorgeous it is!

A marriage of convenience with a Minotaur, a Conquest Moon-inflicted mating frenzy, *TRAINING MONTAGE*, monster sex and sabotage, knotting beneath the ground in the ruins of an ancient magical civilization…what else do you need to know? Some of the writing may have occasionally gotten an eye roll or two out of me, but this was an ultimately satisfying, super spicy, and off-beat romantasy worth digging into.

Ruby Dixon posted about her October release, Bull Moon Rising. It's being published by Penguin and the 1st edition is so pretty. I definitely pre-ordered.
