Catwoman: When In Rome
Catwoman: When In Rome | Jeph Loeb
4 posts | 5 read | 5 to read
The Eisner Award-winning team of Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale returns to further the exciting adventures they began in BATMAN: THE LONG HALLOWEEN and followed in BATMAN: DARK VICTORY! Collecting the 6-part series that guest-starred Batman and a host of Gotham's most colorful and dangerous villains, WHEN IN ROME chronicles Catwoman's mysterious trip to Italy and her dealings with the deadly Falcone crime family. It's an incredible tale of Gotham's sexiest cat burglar!

I just finished a mini-marathon of Jeph Loeb/Tim Sale Batman collaborations. Great reading! The Long Halloween and Dark Victory are both excellent mysteries that show how Batman responds when he's on his heels. Two murderers each on the loose for over a year; not a highlight in the Dark Knight's career. All books make great use of the extensive rogues gallery. And who doesn't love a good Catwoman story?!

Outstanding. Obviously when focusing on the villain's story, it's important to know the difference between sympathizing with them vs trying to justify their actions and being sure not to be guilty of doing the latter. That being said, this should be required reading 🙌🏽 Fantastic story that gives depth to the woman behind the mask. (pissed they didn't draw her as Eartha Kitt tho 😒)

Pumped to start this one. I used to watch the Batman show from the 60s on Saturday nights with my dad and because of that, Eartha Kitt will forever be Catwoman in my eyes. (unless they did an all-black cast batman reboot in which case I would support Zoe Saldana as Catwoman. But only because she looks scary similar to Eartha Kitt.) 😼

SharonGoforth I used to watch Batman with my dad, too 😀 8y
moranadatter @SharonGoforth Me too. Also, I'd love Zoe Saldana as Catwoman. 8y

Don't tell cat woman what to do...Lol. Great comic! Beautifully illustrated. Classic cattiness!

Actually_Perry Ooooo, I just finished Batman: The Long Halloween which was by that same creative team, so I'm going to have to pick up Catwoman immediately because I was IN LOVE with that art! 8y
