I went to the library today because Christmas is next week and I don‘t want to run out of reading material. And yes, I have three unread books by my bed and four on my kindle. But this stack? It makes me very happy and having lots of reading options calms my brain. I spend a lot of time making sure my brain is calm and my soul is content. Anyone else? What is your favorite coping skill? Books, knitting, and music are my top three.

After really enjoying the first cozy mystery box from #Hushbug, I jumped on the box for the second in the By The Book series. The book was as good as the first - funny, quirky characters and a decent mystery!

The thing I really love about Ms. Berry‘s writing style is the way she uses humor. She gives us readers plenty to laugh about, sometimes out loud.

Enjoyed book 2 more than book 1; this time, while she still jumps to conclusions, it's less often and funnier since everyone mocks her. Actually, this book was really quite funny and I often found myself chuckling to myself. The mystery was quite fun and twisty with a good selection of red herrings to choose from. Definitely cannot wait to see what happens, and who else is introduced, in book 3.
