At long last, Hazel and her star-crossed family are finally back and here to kick off a NEW STORY ARC! So, where the hell have they been? As thanks for fans endless patience, the SAGA team is proud to return with a double-length issue44 pages of story for the regular $2.99 price pointwithout variant covers or gimmicky renumbering. Just more pulse-punding adventure, heart-wrenching character drama, and gloriously graphic sex and violence, as SAGA begins the second half the series and the most epic chapter yet! The SAGA series has sold over 6.8 million copies to date across all formats, has been translated into 20 languages, and has garnered multiple Eisner and Harvey Awards, plus a Hugo Award, British Fantasy Award, Goodreads Choice Award, Shuster Award, Inkwell Award, Ringo Award, and more. It has been featured in such mainstream media outlets as TIME, Entertainment Weekly, The Atlantic, NPR, and beyond, and has become a pop culture phenomenon.

I didn‘t know Saga was back! Honestly I had kind of given up, thinking it wasn‘t going to return…. So a pleasant surprise for me to find out that it is not only back, but I have a few episodes to read to catch up! Still tough after the last episode….before the hiatus…if you read it you know what I‘m talking about… but I still enjoyed this installment, picking up the next from Hoopla tonight!

KathyWheeler I have not been able to read it yet. The last one before the hiatus just hurt me. (edited) 2y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa @KathyWheeler I know 😱 even though they literally told us it was coming from the first pages of the first issue, it still hurt! 2y

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Finally downloaded hoopla so I could continue with my favorite comic series and it did not disappoint. Now excuse me while I go into withdrawals until the next installment comes out.

I‘m a few months late to the party but Saga is back! I just remembered the new issues are on Hoopla so I had to grab this. It‘s been way too long but I‘m happy to be able to be back with these characters and the artwork is great as always. Such a unique series. On to the next issue! 4⭐️

I am an avowed trade waiter but when I saw this on Hoopla I just had to download!

Simultaneously exciting and still devastating. As for Fiona Staples and her art, I just, gasp.

Loving Alana‘s new style; I appreciate that this series really acknowledges changes in time and that people also change their appearance; the visual characterization isn‘t just static.

Hazel‘s narrative voice is still snarky as hell!

Hazel‘s growing up and becoming more independent. Her actions are reflecting the circumstances of her life so far, tragedy and lack of stability, always on the run.

Took me too long, but finally got to reading the newest Saga issue! The time jump felt appropriate, and I‘m really looking forward to seeing where the story goes in this next era. Just me, or is Alana even hotter with her new ombré hair style? I‘ll post a couple screenshots of panels that I really enjoyed with a spoiler filter.

When is the next issue supposed to be released?

I was so excited to have the latest episode of Saga in my hands, I barely got my coat off after getting home from the comic shop before diving into it. 🎉

DGRachel I was going to wait for the next volume to be published instead of reading single issues, but it‘s been so long, I may have to cave. 😭 2y
KathyWheeler @DGRachel That was my plan too, but I saw the latest issue on Hoopla and may have to cave as well. 😄 2y

DGRachel @KathyWheeler Did you say Hoopla?!?!?!? I figured I was going to have to buy the single issues and then the trade volume, but if I can read single issues from the library…that‘s a game changer! 2y
KathyWheeler @DGRachel Yes — I was looking through Hoopla and saw issue 55. I don‘t keep track of issue numbers well as I‘ve always read the volumes. But it was this one pictured here. 2y
DGRachel @KathyWheeler Thank you for mentioning it! New weekend plans for me - reread all of my Saga volumes and then roll into this issue on Hoopla. 2y
Lindy @DGRachel @KathyWheeler @Leftcoastzen @readordierachel Hooray for Hoopla! I‘m happy to have a paper issue of 55 but I will look for 56 in Hoopla next month. 2y
KathyWheeler @DGRachel You‘re welcome. 😊 2y
KathyWheeler @Lindy I‘m glad I mentioned it then. 😊 2y
