I really enjoy this wilderness thriller series. Learned a lot about polar bears and their current decline.

Listening to this one and got excited because they mentioned Svalbard, which I am familiar with bc I follow Cecelia from Svalbard on tiktok. Love her glimpses into that North Pole way of life.

Alex's position studying wolverines in Montana has ended, so she heads to Churchill, Manitoba to study polar bears. But somebody or bodies doesn't want her there and someone seems to be stalking her. Not sure I should be reading this today - it might make me feel colder, but it's good so far.

This series with Alex Carter as a wildlife biologist who ends up in all sorts of trouble is entertaining. Perhaps reading about the great north in December wasn't a brilliant idea as I'm already cold and the story will make you even colder!

If you enjoy mystery series with a dash of science and animals, check this one out!

I never read book 1, so this was a new experience for me. This is an unexpected story of suspense that finds lead character, wildlife biologist Alex, trying to study environmental impacts on polar bears. It soon becomes apparent that someone doesn‘t want her to complete her study, and like all good mysteries, the bodies start to pile up. An exciting blend of science knowledge and mystery.
