Cheer Up, Monster!

Not really book related, but how is it that little kids are so good at cheering you up? Yesterday, my boss‘s 2-year-old granddaughter came to visit him at work, and I heard her toddling down the hallway asking “Where‘s Miss Maggie?” Today at 2nd job, a member and former coworker came in with her little girl, who walked right up to the desk and said “I picked you a flower!” ⬇️

Maggie4483 I‘ve been going through a really tough time lately. But if the little ones think I‘m okay, maybe, just maybe, I‘m not as bad of person as my broken brain is trying to tell me I am (animals seem to like me too). So now, I‘m just sitting at the front desk trying (and failing) not to cry. 3y

AmyG Our brain can lie to us. Don‘t believe it. Children and animals instinctively know who the “good” people are. Trust them. 😘 3y
