Mehso-so

I'm really mixed on this one. It's almost a pan. I love True Lies. It's one of my favorite movies so I'm probably the target audience. The chapter openings that read like a spy's version of 1950ish housewife's manual are great. That's about it. Once it gets to the sex I lost interest because it didn't advance the story. Even for a palate cleanser read it's not that great of a choice. #LitsyAtoZ #mounttbr

Bailedbailed

I was lured in by the premise of a suburban housewife leading a double life as an assassin for the CIA. But I bailed in disgust a third in. As a spy novel it is utterly implausible, as satire it's not funny. I can't believe there's a dozen more books in this series! I didn't expect great, just some light entertainment, but nope. Seriously nope.
