I Am Diosa
I Am Diosa: A Journey to Healing Deep, Loving Yourself, and Coming Back Home to Soul | Christine Gutierrez
7 posts | 1 read | 6 to read
This raw and relatable guide to radical self-care and self-love empowers readers to embrace the powerful Diosa within. In this fiercely inspiring book from a fresh new voice in the women's empowerment space, psychotherapist Christine Gutierrez welcomes women to join her in healing the wounds from past hurt or trauma to reclaim their worth and come back home to their true self and soul. Diosa is the Spanish word for Goddess. A diosa is anyone who honors the primal feminine energy in the world and within themselves. According to Gutierrez, diosas face obstacles in their lives but are always ready and willing to go to their core to reclaim their inner worth and self-esteem. They are the ones that rise from the ashes and dare to piece themselves back together bone by bone and soul piece by soul piece. From stories of resilience from both Gutierrez and members of her Diosa Tribe, to mantras, meditations, and guided journaling prompts, this book gives women the tools they need to honor their sacred feminine and become who they were always meant to be. I Am Diosa will inspire women to give themselves permission to feel, to be seen, to be heard, and to return to their truest selves.

This was a re-visit for me (initially listened to it and now I read it). I highlighted a lot of prompts and parts I plan on incorporating into my journaling and thoughts. Thanks again @Chrissyreadit for the recommendation.

#August2021

I loved this! I need to remind myself that I am a Diosa! So yes, this is another one that I plan on revisiting in the years to come. Its so important to love yourself for who you are and feel empowered!

Pickpick

I can not recommend this book enough! I really have to use these principles (especially the importance of setting boundaries and loving myself for who I am, knowing I am worthy of things! Great things!!)

I got this from audible so I will definitely be re-listening to it soon, but more so with a journal in hand. @ChrissyReadIt --- what are you thinking of it so far?

Andrew65 Great 👏👏👏 3y
Chrissyreadit I just ordered it! These days are flying by so quickly - but I did audio too so I can listen while walking and gardening 3y
ElizaMarie @Chrissyreadit It has a lot of ideas for journaling. Which I didn't do. But I plan on doing it later. I did take time to think about my answers (since I had been using this book as my commute book). I do plan on relistening to it again. It was a lot! 3y

Found a new commute-to-work book. @ChrissyReadIt did you end up getting this book after all? You were the one who had recommended it to me (I will let you know what I think when I officially start it)

Chrissyreadit It‘s still on my TBR but based on your post I‘m going to get it with my libro credit now. 3y
ElizaMarie @Chrissyreadit I had not got anything from Audible in quite a while (so I had several credits added up) We will see! 3y

@ElizaMarie have you heard of this book? It was recommended with my book horoscope and sounds so good - I just have to decide on physical or audio.

ElizaMarie I just stacked it! It looks really good. I feel maybe physical might be best so you can take notes as needed. 3y
