I think I'm going to call this one a so so. The stories felt a little all over the place. The author's note at the end did sort of explain the difficulty in writing a story about Poseidon. That saved it from being a pan for me.

This was a really good one! It features Poseidon thinking on his life and children. I enjoyed how he kept repeating "my children have always tended to be monstrous" about them all, even the mortal ones.

Slight departure from the series style on that Poseidon narrates his own story (author‘s notes were really interesting on that front), but still very good. Not my favorite installment, but definitely solid.

5⭐️ah Poseidon, the moody middle child who occasionally throws temper tantrums. Hear me out- he‘s my favorite Olympian God. While the narrator of his story, he doesn‘t give a lot of emotions away& is a private god-& I really like that. Im not a fan of his monstrous kiddos, but he is a pretty cool dude. It‘s like he seems to be a guy with stuff going on the surface, but you have to go REALLY DEEP to get a glimpse of who he really is.🧜🏼‍♂️🐴🔱

Once again, George O'Connor nailed it with this rendition of Greek myths. He lays it out with just enough interpretation to make it interesting (i.e. Theseus as an asshole). I also LOVED the bit he incorporated from pre-Greek times of Poseidon and Demeter (?) as horses, definitely read the notes in the back of this one!!
