I may never venture into the loft again' - MARK BILLINGHAM 'A brilliantly chilling story with tension on every page' - T.M. LOGAN THERE'S A SERIAL KILLER ON THE RUN AND HE'S HIDING IN YOUR HOUSE Thomas Brogan is a serial killer. Having left a trail of bodies in his wake, and with the police hot on his heels, it seems like Thomas has nowhere left to hide. That is until he breaks into an abandoned house at the end of a terrace on a quiet street. And when he climbs up into the loft, he realises that the can drop down into all the other houses on the street through the shared attic space. That's when the real fun begins. Because the one thing that Thomas enjoys even more than killing, is playing games with his victims. And his new neighbours have more than enough dark secrets to make this game his best one yet... A serial killer moves into a vacant terraced house & discovers he has access to all the houses in the row via the attic space.

Creepy read especially when Brogan starts playing mind games with Collette & Martyn. Could have done without the (mercifully brief) mentions of animal abuse/death. 3.5🌟

The Resident is terrifying…...and disturbing. It races by as you watch and wonder what Brogan will do next….as you glance at the loft door wondering whether to put bolts on it….just to make sure……! (the loft hatch in my home is in my bedroom and that really didn‘t help me sleep!!!). While Brogan is undoubtedly evil, you do feel sorry for him at times too, all credit to David Jackson‘s clever writing. It‘s dark, terrifying and utterly gripping

This was such an interesting book, it's not often the whole story is told by the killer. It gave a whole new dynamic to the story. The plot itself is slow but in a good way as you know its building to something but you're not sure how it will play out. It also throws you that you find yourself almost wanting to escape despite knowing how awful he is. The ending is so well done and fits with the story. #Netgalley 4* 4th book read for #JubilantJuly

TrishB Stacked 👍🏻 I‘ve enjoyed his books so far. 4y
