Little Women is my favorite classic book. My husband proposed with a beautiful copy with my engagement ring on the bookmark ribbon.
Found this beautiful book at a Goodwill today. Printed in 1899. In 1899 it cost $1.50. It is in really good condition. I am so very pleased! This is one of my favorite books!
pickVery happy to have finally read the full text. In the early going I was worried I'd find it too saccharine, but it wasn't long before I realized this is a book that has been imprinted on my heart for years. This won't be the last time I reread it.
So, the edition on the right I recently bought for my daughter. The one on the left was my mom's and I've read it many times. I now know I've been reading an abridged version! 😳 That will have to be remedied soon!
Recently realized that the edition of this I reread multiple times as a kid was an abridged one! Rectifying that situation now.
