Pride and Prejudice and Zombies: The Graphic Novel | Jane Austen, Seth Grahame-Smith

THE NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER-NOW AN EYE-POPPING GRAPHIC NOVEL OF MANNERS, MORALS, AND BRAIN-EATING MAYHEM It is known as "the strange plague," and its unfortunate victims are referred to only as "unmentionables" or "dreadfuls." All over England, the dead are rising again, and now even the daughters of Britain's best families must devote their lives to mastering the deadly arts. Elizabeth Bennet is a fearsome warrior whose ability with a sword is matched only by her quick wit and even sharper tongue. But she faces her most formidable foe yet in the haughty, conceited, and somehow strangely attractive Mr. Darcy. As the two lovers meet in the ballroom and on the battlefield, they'll soon learn that nothing-not even bands of ninjas, hordes of flesh-eating zombies, or disapproving aunts-can stop true love.

I had to DNF it. The art just was not to my liking. I think I‘m used to reading graphic novels in color, so the black and white felt dull. The characters all looked very similar to each other as well, so I was constantly trying to remember who was who while reading. Just going to stick to the novel on this one.

CaroPi Ohh too bad.. I was thinking on get it because I really enjoy the novel 3y
RosePressedPages @CaroPi I think it‘s a great companion read if you like the art. Hopefully, you‘ll enjoy it more than I did! 3y
CaroPi @MadelineMcCrae thanks but looking carefully I also don't like the art that much. Is not the black and white but in general... Already had other ideas in my head. But was nice to see it! (edited) 3y
BookBr Black and white can work if it‘s done well, but this looks more like a colouring book! All outlines — I can see why it‘d be difficult to distinguish character and scenery. Too bad tho. 3y
RosePressedPages @BookBr I actually saw a photo of someone using this book as a coloring book😂 3y

Pickpick

This is a fun read for my fellow #PemberLittens - I read the book a few years ago and thought it was hilarious. The graphic novel is just as good and there are tons of lol moments. I‘d highly recommend this when you‘re in the mood not to think too much and just enjoy the crazy ride. 4⭐️
