A History of the Canadian Peoples | J. M. Bumsted
4 posts
Now in a new fourth edition, this concise volume covers the whole of Canadian history from pre-contact times to the present, integrating social, cultural, political, and economic history into a coherent and compelling narrative. New to the fourth edition is additional coverage ofmulticulturalism, immigration, and racism, as well as women and work in the twenty-first century. Many new historical images have been added throughout to support the already robust photo and image program, engaging the reader and drawing them into each time period discussed. Engrossing, thorough, and timely, J.M. Bumsted's narrative provides a comprehensive look at this country's fascinating history.

Teaching. Writing classes. Writing 20+ emails a day. Evaluating files. Helping grad students. Not reading. Not doing much of anything else, really, besides catching a cold.

I miss you all! 😭

JacqMac Oh no! Feel better soon. And I hope you get a reading break. Some day. 5y
Crazeedi Eat some garlicky chicken soup! Or something elderberry wine, lol. Seriously hope you feel better soon, especially since it sounds like you're too busy to be sick! ( the soup and elderberry do help!) 5y
Susanita Miss you too! 5y

Lcsmcat Suck on zinc lozenges. That‘s what kept me healthy when I was teaching. 5y
tournevis @Lcsmcat They help a bit, but filthy student hands are stronger than a few milligrammes of metal, sadly. 5y
Eyelit Take care! 💙 5y
tracey38 Hope you feel better quickly. All those germs floating around, yuck! I feel like I've been fending off a cold or some type of upper respiratory issue for weeks now. 5y
tournevis @Eyelit @tracey38 Will do. WHat I do worry about is that there is currently a very early, almost out of season, eclosion of the flu on campus, several weeks ahead of the vaccine being available and I really don't want to catch that before getting inoculated. 5y
tracey38 @tournevis oh no! I was luckily able to get my flu shot a few days ago at work. But I work in healthcare at a cancer center and it's a requirement so I guess we got them early. Fingers crossed you avoid getting the flu and can get inoculated soon! 5y
tournevis @tracey38 I have to go to the pharmacy later today to get syrup and I plan to ask. 5y
