As sequels go, this one was a hard read. I wish I had read the warning on the authors website before. There is emotional and sexual abuse in this one and it‘s quite a stormy book. Very emotional read. I did enjoy how it ended and I had a great discussion with my group about it. Featuring both my fluffy companions this time - Zeus is suffering a hot spot and won‘t leave his leg alone therefore the pillow cone. #dogsoflitsy

Good, smooth read & the rare case where the sequel was a better read for me than the first novel in the duology. The multiple POV story line moves quick & keeps things interesting. Great representation & difficult topics of domestic & sexual abuse are well handled. Realistically flawed characters helped solidify the impact of these topics. I could have done with a bit more detail to the ending and perhaps a bit less neatly wrapped up bow.

Finished this last night but was too tired to post.

I loved book 1, and book 2 did not disappoint. Dystopian and YA novels have always been favourites of mine, and this is no different. I love how this book carried on where the first left off; calling the world out on its mistreatment of so many of the most vulnerable people, while also spinning a fantastic, vivid and exciting novel full of magic and mayhem 🧡
