I came across this in Libby's summer scares collection whilst laid up on the couch with what I'm now sure is a summer cold and decided to give it a shot. I was looking for something undemanding that would keep my attention. Though a smidge longer than it needed to be, this fit the bill. There's a lot of action and thrillery bits with bloody violence and paranormal elements. Some dialogue frankly doesn't age well at all and came across as 👇

dylanisreading perpetuating the idea of there being model minorities in one instance and just plain racist in another. I won't be checking out any of Dean Koontz's other work anytime soon, but overall this book was fine to pass the time. 3y

BiblioLitten I recommended Fikri and Bernadette to a friend yesterday! She wanted to read something heartwarming yet not too heavy. 😊 4y
