I find this book decent so far. I‘m only a few chapters in but I do enjoy how it looks into OCD and how it can really trouble your life. It tends to get challenging living with ocd so seeing a book about ocd and you actually can relate to it is amazing.

This book was recommended by a student. But I didn‘t get much out of it. The main character was interesting enough and the side characters too...but it still felt flat somehow? I am going to use it for my #Booked2020 challenge though, so there is that: Summer|Eccentric MC — we can do these in any order right?

This was definitely a thought provoking book. It really dove into so many different aspects of mental illnesses and managing them. I love the dynamic between the teens and adults and the idea of heroes throughout the book. I feel like the biggest point was that everyone needs saving at some point and it‘s okay to ask for help or let someone help you. Definitely a powerful novel with a big message.

The best part of this book is how accurately the author shows what it's like to have OCD. The worst part of this book is that it falls into that typical YA trap of having a character with serious mental health issues be suddenly cured because she found a boyfriend.

4🌟 In this book, teens take on superhero names in a therapeutic group for their OCD. The book mainly follows Adam (Batman) as he tries to save the girl while sinking deeper into his rituals. As a person with OCD, I found it mildly triggering, but probably because Adam and I have many of the same problems. It's a great story about family, young love, and the trials of being a teen with mental illness.

Another excellent ya title. A great character with some serious problems.

"Miracles sparked in the night air, bloomed and burst open before him." Although this doesn't give the main voice of this book, it's a pretty good quote, if I do say so myself;) Sorry I haven't posted for awhile, I lost my iPod which is what I use for Litsy. Thankfully, I got some good reading in. ?

Audio YA oh how I absolutely loved this book. Humorous and candid, its account of coping with being different in a world that makes it very hard to be self-accepting is brilliantly done. A book for those with a love of alphabet soup, what I call psychiatric labels, or a nonjudgmental take on them.
