Virgie is the youngest, her dads favorite. Shes always been the career girl, but now theres a man in her life. Her television job on the west coast is beyond stressful, and its taking its toll on heremotionally and physically. Shes counting on this vacation to erase the symptoms shes not talking about. When their mother, Gloria, announces shes coming for an unscheduled visitwith her new boyfriendno one is more surprised than their father, Arthur, who has not quite gotten over his divorce. I could not sleep last night so I ended up reading. This book is exactly what you would expect of a beach read...ramshackle house, family drama, and some really bad sunburns.

My book haul from June. Bookoutlet.com, Amazon, and ThriftBooks. I know, I know. Outta Control!!! Book Buying Ban until September! 🤞🏽

Suet624 Yowzer. You're all set for awhile. 7y
The_Heeler_Booklife Thriftbooks is addicting. I may have gotten over 30 books from them in June 🙈 I have a no buy, but I broke it the past two days because I had to buy some non-fiction books for my fall semester class and I didn't want to pay shipping so I added a few books for both orders to get free shipping. I need to be good until November. 😬 7y
Mariposa_Bookworm @allthingskayla Bookoutlet.com is dangerous too because they will send you coupons. I also just remembered my BOTM club selection is on its way. 😳 7y

Mariposa_Bookworm @Suet624 Indeed. Now if no one sends me any coupons.... 7y
The_Heeler_Booklife @Mariposa_Bookworm I always forget about bookoutlet. I ordered a book from Half.com a few days ago for school and they ended up canceling the order, which is why I made another order through Thriftbooks yesterday. I do have one book that I preordered for September and that's my only exception. 7y
Mariposa_Bookworm @allthingskayla What are you studying? If it's English or education related, I may own some stuff you may need in the future. (edited) 7y
The_Heeler_Booklife @Mariposa_Bookworm child development and psychology. 7y
PurpleyPumpkin You are a stronger person than I. Book buying ban until September?!?!? 😳 I wish you very good luck!!🤞🏽 7y
Mariposa_Bookworm @PurpleyPumpkin Thanks! I'm going to need it!!! 7y
PurpleyPumpkin Well, if you can stick with it, good for you! I find that when I try to ban myself from buying books, I start coming across a whole bunch that I can't say no to. And then other times, I seem to fall into a ban without even trying! (edited) 7y
Mariposa_Bookworm @PurpleyPumpkin I've bought some really good ones that I want to read, in addition to the fact that my son and I have been using our public library more. I'm going to try very, very hard. 7y
