First day of vacay! We are taking a short cruise on Thursday from the Port of New Orleans. So, we decided to show up early. Of course, we just happened to stop at the iconic (and pretty tiny) Faulkner House Books. #bookvoyage

BarbaraTheBibliophage @jillrhudy True story. I usually limit myself to one book. But at Shakespeare and Company in Paris last year I got three tote bags and two books. Went crazy!! 4y

jillrhudy That‘s me in @strandbookstore and I got the enormous army green tote which I now carry every day, everywhere. I nearly broke my back walking 8 miles in NYC because I didn‘t know which book I would want on the plane. 4y

JaclynW I was here visiting just last week!! It's my second time at the bookstore. The first time I purchased the complete short stories by Faulkner. For as tiny as the store is, it has a great selection of books, don't you think? 5y

JaclynW What books did you get? Ww flew in the Monday after Barry. We were worried that we would have to cancel our trip. Ww were glued to the weather updates. Thankfully all was well. We had great weather while we were there. We just got home a few days ago. Did you enjoy your trip to New Orleans? 5y

staci.reads @JaclynW I held myself to 3...a Penguin clothbound Jane Austen anthology titled Love and Friendship, a beautiful hardcover Graoes of Wrath, and a nonfiction titled Zora and Langston, about the friendship of those 2 authors. I felt a little bad not buying anything Faulkner 😏 5y

My #letstraveljuly #neworleans is not a book but a bookshop. This place is packed full of history as well as awesome books. I headed home with a handful of local authors after a lovely long chat with the team there. I would have posted if I were at home and could snap my shelves!) @OriginalCyn620 @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks (despite 2 trips to New Orleans this appears to be the only non person photo I have on my phone!)
