The Reformed Vampire Support Group
The Reformed Vampire Support Group | Catherine Jinks
8 posts | 11 read | 5 to read
Think vampires are romantic, sexy, and powerful? Think again. Vampires are dead. And unless they want to end up staked, they have to give up fanging people, admit their addiction, join a support group, and reform themselves. Nina Harrison, fanged at fifteen and still living with her mother, hates the Reformed Vampire Support Group meetings every Tuesday night. Even if she does appreciate Dave, who was in a punk band when he was alive, nothing exciting ever happens. That is, until one of group members is mysteriously destroyed by a silver bullet. With Nina (determined to prove that vamps aren't useless or weak) and Dave (secretly in love with Nina) at the helm, the misfit vampires soon band together to track down the hunter, save a werewolf, and keep the world safe from the likes of themselves. The perfect anecdote to slick vampire novels, this murder-mystery comedy of errors will thrill fans of Evil Genius.

I am posting one book per day from my extensive to-be-read collection. No description or reason for wanting to read the book. Some are old and some will be new. Don't judge me - I have a lot of books.

A group of vampires in Sydney has agreed not to feed on people and thus meets weekly to support one another. Their progenitor, a reluctant group member, is a no show one week. Searching for him turns into a bit of an adventure in this fun, clever, cheeky book. I really enjoyed it and will be looking for more from this author.

An interesting take on vampires. This was a great audio for the readathon. Not too heavy, but still interesting enough to hold my attention .

Finished today thanks to a long ride getting my dogs OFA CAER eye test today. (She passed. Yay!) This was better than I expected. It was not predictable and I liked the narrator's Australian accent. I would definitely read, or listen to, more by this author. I might have to check out her other book now.

Scored this beauty at my local library bookshop for one dollar. It is Australian and I am enjoying the narrator's accent. It is also quite funny.

A fun vampire story with a different take on the mythos. It had an it of a wandering plot line, but it was still funny and enjoyable.
