Vandal
Vandal | Carian Cole
She takes my breath away; she is so beautifully damaged. Yes, I had broken her, ravished her life and destroyed her happiness. I brought her to the ultimate despair. I was responsible for all the pain and suffering that now brought her to her knees in front of me. Broken. Hopeless. Reckless in her agony. She is a mirror of my own tortured soul. But what I took away I can give back, in ways she cannot even begin to imagine. She is everything right in all my wrongs. She loves me. She needs me. She has no idea Im the one who wrecked her life.

This is the 2nd book of the series and the fourth I have read. Also, my least favorite because I really didn't care for the plot. It was just off and not believable. I was not a fan of Tabitha especially after the ending and her actions didn't make sense to me. At least I understood Vandal. A soft pick for me at 3ish ⭐️

So I started reading the Carian Cole‘s Ashes & Embers series a couple years ago but never read past the first book but it‘s been brought to my attention recently so I reread the first book, Storm, and now on to Vandal!

I'm sorry this book just wasn't for me. I didn't think the reason was good behind Vandal getting into a sexual relationship with Tabitha. It was unhealthy and just masked his real pain that he needed to heal from. He doesn't need a sexual relationship, he needs therapy

Dang, this was a bummer for me bc I loved the first in the series so much. A lot of heavy stuff happening in this one, but I just didn't find anything believable about a grieving, recently widowed woman entering into a D/s relationship with someone she just met at the cemetery. And that's just the tip of the iceberg bc he's also grieving the loss of his 5yo daughter. Just didn't do it for me. Fingers crossed for the third book 🤞🏽 #romantsy

This book was emotionally heavy. And Vandal - so hot in a book, but I‘d punch him in real life 😂 #romantsy #romance

I absolutely love Vandal, a story so beautiful and harsh, a contradiction just as its hero is. Vandal is a damaged, tortured man who believes that he unworthy and not redeemable. The beginning of the story is so heartbreaking and emotional.

Michelegg This is such a good one! And the cover... 💕 8y
