Hilariously irreverent writing style and a fast-paced plot that is full of action. The protagonist is the absolute best and I love her. The story is complex, but easy to follow and has a great mix of genres to it. A little bit mystery, a little bit sci-fi, a little bit thriller. There's a little something for everyone here. Fantastic intrigue and a whole lot of fun.

Thoroughly enjoyed the story - it was fast paced, fun, quirky, and kept me guessing until the end. The prose was also engaging and descriptive. Also enjoyed the diverse cast of characters and the humanization of the villains added extra layers of flavor.

Girl has telekinetic powers, can “move sh*t with her mind”, but she needs to clear her name from a murder only she could have done using telekinesis given the circumstances of it or LA will be caught in a huge underground battle.

I had this book for a few years so finally glad to have read it. It is the first in a trilogy about Teagan Frost and her telekinetic abilities. She is in a team who work for the Government in which uses her powers. I enjoyed it, it is fast paced and keeps you on your toes. I also like Teagan, she is a cool character. The cover is cool too!

#TBRPile 📚 “On second thoughts, throwing myself out the window of a skyscraper may not have been the best idea. Not because I‘m going to die or anything. I‘ve totally got that under control. It wasn‘t smart because I had to bring Annie Cruz with me. And Annie, it turns out, is a screamer.”

A loaner from a pal and omg what a ride. Insanely fast-paced, this story drags you behind it without a care. Definitely one that you invest in and I fully admit the final twist had my mouth hanging open. Loved it, and will definitely read the sequels.

My birthday is coming up so I thought I'd treat myself and my shelf! I usually only buy this many books if I'm doing a BO order but Indigo gave me a birthday credit so....screw it!

Happy almost birthday to me!

This was like a snarky, X-Men story. Spoiler - Teagan can move shit with her mind and she works for a secret government fix it team. She's framed for murder and her team and her have to clear her name. It was a very quick, but fun read.

Super fun palate cleanser - exciting, nonstop caper with great characters. A bit thin on plot, but who cares?! Enjoy the ride.

Bette Sounds good. 👍 4y

This wasn‘t horrible. But it rang false to me. Tegan walks through skid-row to meet her homeless friend, the one that proves that, unlike most people, she “gets it”. And she isn‘t mobbed, or spit on, or has men shout “bitch” at her. Lots of people want to plumb the housing crisis for simple messages, but miss important nuance.I suspect the author has never been to LA, never been a young woman walking, alone down skid row.

This was ok......I really wanted to love it but the ridiculous drawn out action scenes killed it for me. It wasn‘t horrible, just not for me.

This definitely reminded me of a mash up of Scorpion & X-Men. This was quite a fast paced and a bit chaotic/mind boggling book. I definitely want the next book to delve more into exactly WHAT created Teagan and thr others who have different abilities. The ending alliance reveal surprised the hell out of me. I was also shocked how the "romance" ended but I sort of appreciated it for not going the way most books do.

emmaturi I bought this last month, hopefully will get to it soon! 5y

Kimberlone @SassenachTheBookWizard love the play on those “the girl who....” titles. I hope it is as snarky as the title indicates! 5y

EXCELLENT 🌟🌟🌟🌟
If you enjoyed The Rook, this will blow it out of the water. Irreverent, sarcastic, fast-paced, and gritty.

The plot of this was a bit weak but I liked the characters and will probably continue with the series.

Once you‘re pulled into The Girl Who Could Move Sh*t with Her Mind, you find you‘re in a fast-paced high stakes read about an X-Men-like heroine battling the person she could have become if just one thing about her circumstances had been different.

I think this is one that could be better on a 2nd (and then maybe on the third) read, once you can take your time and not race to find out what happened, or be dazzled by Teagan's personality. If I'm wrong, and Ford's just razzle dazzle--well, you're left with a fun read with snappy prose and an more-entertaining-than-most protagonist/narrator. Either way--a book I recommend without a hint of hesitation. My complete take: https://wp.me/p3z9AH-41l
