@Bookwormjillk @Kenyazero Tada! Myst books! There‘s three of them as far as I know. All as wonderfully bonkers as the game. 🧡💚🤍

Bookwormjillk NICE! More books to buy 😂 3y
Kenyazero Nice! The covers are beautiful! 😍 3y
Soubhiville I loved this game! 3y

The game is afoot! 🎮

1. Yes! My father introduced me to Myst, the game, years ago and then, only once I had finished the game, did he introduce me to the trilogy of stories.
2. I think if it‘s done by anyone who helped develop the original game, no. Otherwise, yes.
3. Hades. I need so much more of this game and world, and I‘ve already clocked in 50+ hours. 😅

#sundayfunday Have a fun day, and don‘t forget to tag me!

Bookwormjillk There are Myst books? Love it! 3y
Kenyazero I didn't realize Myst had books! 3y

This was a solid read. A clear antagonist who is so easy to hate and a fun little twist ending to keep things interesting. On to the next, as I‘m hoping to knock this trilogy out before the end of the year.

So I DNF‘d a couple books after finishing up Warrior and Witch. 100 pages in and I think I‘m settled on the first Myst book. I‘ve had these books for over 10 years and after looking into the game concept, sorely wish that I could play it.

bookcollecter I remember playing that game! Ill have to check this out 👍 5y

Not only was this nostalgic, but it was still a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ read for me! I love the father/son story; the background of world building and the fantasy is pure escapism at its best. I‘m so glad that I picked it up again after all these years; it threw me back in time 17 years and it was amazing. Atrus was my favourite of the series, but I‘ll certainly continue the trilogy.

AllenTStClair I had no idea there was a book! 😮 TBR‘d! 6y
StellaDz @AllenTStClair there are three! After Atrus is the Book of D‘Ni and the Book of Ti‘Ana! I remember those other two being quite heavy, but I was 14 when I read them. I might actually appreciate them more now! 6y
AllenTStClair @StellaDz I never knew! Litsy makes my TBR grow daily. 🤣 6y

daniwithtea I had no idea there were Myst books! Aaaahhh!!! 6y
StellaDz @daniwithtea after pulling this off my shelf the book has been quite a conversation piece! I guess it was very under-publicized! 6y

I just want to share how I came to ❤️ this novel: my brother. A gamer, he loved Myst. He also hated reading. 😂When he learned of the books, he asked me to read them, in the hopes that they‘d reveal hints on how to beat the game. I bought the trilogy and read them. They didn‘t help him, but they became my fave childhood books.

Do you have fave books from an unlikely recommender? I love stories of the unlikely places we find cherished novels!

CoverToCoverGirl What a great story!, thanks for sharing! 😊 6y

Nostalgia read! I read this book a whopping 17 years ago. My first copy was ruined and it took me so long to find another in better condition. I can‘t wait to relive this amazing novel! #currentlyreading

Mehso-so

The first 60 pages are great and the last 70 or so are great. The middle hits a lull that I felt like I had to "power through" in order to get to the true story.
