July stats! This was my worst TBR reduction month yet thanks to a few purchases, a few freebies, and an ARC, but I DID manage to read all but two of the new additions. The stragglers‘ll be off the stack soon—and even with this setback, I‘m still on track to get under 20 by the end of the year. Hurray!
No 5-star reads in July, but vol 3 of HEARTSTOPPER was a standout 4.5er. What a great addition to a great series.
I switched to some print books while my ereader reacharged, and I seriously didn‘t put this volume of HEATSTOPPER down from the time I opened it until I‘d read the last page. It‘s my favourite one yet.
pickThis comic continues to be the perfect mix of cute and serious! I really love the characters, they‘re so well-rounded and their stories are told in such a caring way, even when dealing with more serious things. Can‘t wait to read more about them!

Actually this should just be one long graphic novel, because each volume follows so precisely on the previous ones and I can't really see them as three different books or stories.
They're just meant to be one... Just like our two main characters 😉

In this volume the school has a trip to Paris and I loved that.
The story also touches on mental health with issues such as self harming and eating disorder.
The next volume is out February 2021, and the countdown has started.
When the setting changes to Paris, I‘m all here for that.
Paris is one of my favorite cities and the one I‘ve visited the most times.

pickI realized that we're already 1/4 of the way into 2020 and I hadn't made any of my usual monthly #WrapUp graphics, so I went for a 3 in 1 and did a #1stQuarterWrapUp I had tons of great reads to choose from, but I've read the tagged book 3 times already this year, and I could read it again anytime! Alice Oseman's Heartstopper series has become my ultimate comfort read! I can't get enough of these two #CinnamonRolls and their friends and family!

Well, I finished the first and second volumes! And I started the third! I love these two cinnamon rolls so much! I now have 12 hours and 32 minutes logged! But, it's just after 3 AM here and I think my furry companion has the right idea and it's time for a snooze! 😪 See you in a few hours 'thonners! G'night all! Sweet dreams!

But yay, my first Valentine's present of the year! (Instead of making a fuss of the day itself, my wife and I have an agreement. She'll buy me one book of my choice per month, and she gets to have two naps per month without me complaining that she is wasting reading time!)

I went into a book shop for this specifically today and they didn‘t have it 😭😭😭
I don‘t understand they have the first two volumes - why not stock the third?! (And I‘m not particularly local to Doncaster)
Anyway, I‘ve ordered it from the Book Depositary now - so back to waiting, I guess.
