My personal reading hasn‘t been as much as normal as I am spending a lot of time deciding what books to use for a new training program my work is developing. So lots of Books from the veterinary medicine field lately. I feel like I am back in university again. At least this time I don‘t have to take the tests I get to write them.

ShelleyBooksie How was this one? Can I borrow @DinoMom ? 3y
Megabooks Great receptionists keep the clinic together! (I‘m a vet.) 3y
DinoMom They truly do! One of the most difficult jobs in the clinic! I am a tech and practice manager ( well I was), now I am off the floor and one of my aspects of my new job is to train excellent customer service and efficiency in the Vet world! @Megabooks 3y

Vent: One of my jobs is as a veterinary receptionist. Today a client berated my co-worker over the phone & then proceeded to post very negative comments about the interaction on our fb page. Of course her version of events wasn't even close to reality. Thankfully her own posts are pretty ridiculous but not everyone on fb is good at critical thinking. It is frustrating. This is the only part of the job I hate. People. (This is Jenny, my pug.)

CBee We run a pet sitting and dog walking business and honestly, sometimes the worst part of it is dealing with PEOPLE! 😬 Why is that little cutie pug wearing a cone? Poor love.... (edited) 5y
bookishbitch @CBee She had a pesky growth removed recently. Stitches come out tomorrow thankfully. 95% of my job is great. Especially since I changed hospitals. My old boss was just awful. I'm so glad my new boss backed my co-worker. He knew the clients version wasn't true. It's a great feeling when bad behavior by a client doesn't get rewarded. Treating receptionists crappy just because you don't get your way isn't cool! 5y
CBee @bookishbitch how old is she? I adore pugs. We‘ve had that happen a handful of times - one story vs another one - turns out the client was most definitely in the wrong. And you know, sometimes you just have to “fire” clients! Mean people stink and we‘re at a point where we can be more choosy. 5y

bookishbitch @CBee She is 13. She has a few health issues but is very sweet. We adopted her from Pug Rescue of New England when she was about 1. This client got fired today. And it takes a lot before that happens in the veterinary field. He had issues with them before and this was the proverbial straw. 5y
CBee @bookishbitch I love older doggies. So sweet. And I completely understand! Been there, done that 🙌🏻 5y

iread2much People are the worst! That‘s why adorable doggies are so very precious. Your pug is super cute 5y
