One of my favourite literary #pet is Snowy! Loved reading Tintin and his adventures many years ago.

I spotted this matching porcelain dog that reminded me of Snowy, Tintin's dog...so you know he had to come home with me. I just love him already. Haven't decided what to name him yet. 🤔

Reviewsbylola I spy a Persephone! 7y
Reviewsbylola Actually a few! 7y
jpmcwisemorgan He's so cute! 7y
EvieBee @Reviewsbylola Oh yes! I love those books but have had a hard tine finding certain titles in the gray covers, so have been buying my Persephone books on Kindle. I went on a Dorothy Whipple spree the other day. 7y
EvieBee @jpmcwisemorgan Thank you! I keep staring at him because he's so cartoonish! 7y

Day 10 of #riotgrams is #comics. I gather bandes dessinées count here, so it is no surprise that my first is Tintin, again. I was four years old and had just figured out reading. He's my first. Even at their most racist (Looking at you Congo and America, you are aweful) the adventures were still good.

The first thing that came to my mind when I think of adventure reads, is one from my favourite childhood reads. Who can forget the adventures and dangers that Tintin and Snowy and friends went through? These comic books are so fun to read and #fullofadventure #booktober @RealLifeReading 🌎🚂🛩🚙⛵️

RealLifeReading That's a great pick! 8y
read_diverse_books I never read them but they do sound fun. The movie was good too! 8y
Lizpixie I read every Tintin book in my local library when I was a child, I even had them ordering them in from other libraries for me. We were very poor growing up & books were a luxury so my library kept me sane for twelve years. Asterix&Obelisk was another favourite. 8y

#booktober #fullofadventure Thanks to my son, we read A LOT of Tintin, and thanks to my brother, who introduced me to true life adventure/survival tales. INTO THIN AIR & ALIVE were heart pounding!

britt_brooke Ooh, Into Thin Air!! 8y

Honestly, I don't really reread books (except when prepping for my library book club meetings). But I have loved these books since I was a child and have read them all at least 30 times, especially now that I own them all. #funfridayphototime

RealLifeReading Wow you own all the Tintins? That's fantastic! 8y
