Pickpick

While looking for an image to use as the book is downstairs, I was reminded of who played Jim! So the BBC adaptation has the Doctor and Rose in.
I loved the book, just as much as I loved the adaptation. Heartbroken just the same. It gets 4* from me as I'm just bitter. *cries*

Youngest is having nap time on me so it looks like I've got some reading time on my hands! I really enjoyed the TV dramas they made from these so I decided to read them. Thing is, because I saw the TV show, I know what's coming...
Also this phone won't let me add emojis to my captions or comments! Highly annoying.

Skyrimir I didn‘t know it was a show! I‘ve got to find out where I can watch it. 6y

laurieluna @Skyrimir I think it was at least 10-15 years ago it was made, by the BBC. Really good! 6y

Pickpick

A retired teacher, following Sally's financial advice, has lost her money and is all but destitute. She suspects fraud, however, and Sally sets out to restore the lady's finances and her own reputation.

This is the second of the Victorian Sally Lockhart mysteries. It's about twice the length of the first and a stronger story although I have to say it doesn't really feel YA at all. This is also better than the PBS episode.
