6 posts | 4 read | 12 to read
Anne Frank's life story is told by answering the most frequently asked questions posed by children and young people visiting the Anne Frank House museum in Amsterdam. Text, detailed photographs and beautiful illustrations combine to give the fullest picture of Anne's life, her diary, and the Secret Annex. Full of information about Anne's life, World War II, and the Holocaust, the book provides both an overview of the history as well as intimate insights into the life of the young Anne Frank.

I‘ve completed 139 books this year and have a little less than 6 hours left, so I‘m going to read this book about Anne Frank to get an even 140. It‘s been in my Kindle list for months and I just haven‘t made time for it. I don‘t currently teach 8th grade (and thus the play adapted from her diary), but I‘m always on the lookout for more resources to share with students.

There are lots of books with stars on the cover. The middle one though, is very disturbing. #sisforseptember #stars

1. Yes!
2. 5-10% is non-fiction. Trying to read more.
3. History/biography
4. So many that I‘m sure I can‘t remember! I‘ll say The Astronaut Wives Club by Lily Koppel.
5. I‘m reading the tagged book right now. Excellent book on Anne Frank for middle grades.

This book should be in all the schools. It explains not just about what happened to Anne Frank and her friends and family but what was going on in the occupation and the war. You can tell it is written to make it easier for kids to read but also doesn‘t try to disguise the horrors that really happened.

tjwill We are reading The Diary of Anne Frank (the play) in my 8th grade classes right now. I need this book! 6y

Such an important children‘s book! I have always felt Anne a friend after reading her diary as a 12 year old. This is a well explained book for children how it all happened. Read my review at Goodreads! #NetGalley. https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/2474750926

Samplergal I forgot to add...it will released in September. I plan on ordering one of my own. 6y
