Laughter
Laughter: A Scientific Investigation | Robert R. Provine
5 posts | 4 to read
Do men and women laugh at the same things? Is laughter contagious? Has anyone ever really died laughing? Is laughing good for your health? Drawing upon ten years of research into this most common-yet complex and often puzzling-human phenomenon, Dr. Robert Provine, the world's leading scientific expert on laughter, investigates such aspects of his subject as its evolution, its role in social relationships, its contagiousness, its neural mechanisms, and its health benefits. This is an erudite, wide-ranging, witty, and long-overdue exploration of a frequently surprising subject.

This made me lol so I thought I would share. Pic credit to for_reading_addicts on instagram.

CSeydel Hilarious! We have a guy in our book club who, almost without fail, will say “but why read pages and pages of description when you can get the same information in a movie much quicker?” Or something similar. This would have been better as a movie. Etc. It‘s so odd and yet kind of hilarious. 6y
CareBear @CSeydel seems odd that a person who thinks that way would be in a book club lol 6y
CSeydel It really does! 6y
