#songsofsummer @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @OriginalCyn620 #paradise This tattered copy has been in my library for a couple of decades - and I don‘t even remember what it‘s about! Maybe it‘s time for a re-read. Or maybe not 😛 That cover sure is something.

Crazeedi O my gosh, I read all the Victoria holt books when I was young! I loved her!! 1mo
Reecaspieces Love her books! 1mo
StayCurious @Crazeedi I remember liking this one too - I think that‘s the reason I‘ve kept it all these years. 1mo

Day 18 - #Paradise #TheRoadToParadiseIsland #VictoriaHolt #JazzyJune

I read all of Victoria Holt‘s books in the 70‘s and 80‘s and this one was a definite favorite:
Annalice Mallory finds a cryptic diary of a long-dead ancestor that includes a map of a far-off Island with promises of riches to be found. She also finds the secrets of the diary along with a promise of love.

Victoria Holt is also Jean Plaidy and Phillipa Carr

Scochrane26 I read those as a teen but don‘t remember if I read this one. Think my sister has kept them. 1mo
cobwebmoth I loved this one. 1mo
KathyWheeler I thought I‘d read all of her books when I was a teenager, but I‘ve never even heard of this one. 1mo
EadieB @KathyWheeler It‘s a later book published in 1985 (edited) 1mo
Eggs Great choice 1mo

Thanks for the tags @Pamwurtzler @JenlovesJT47 !

1. Victoria Holt, Nancy Drew, Agatha Christie, LOTR... I'll stop now.
2. Return of the Jedi
3. Jump by The Pointer Sisters. I would put on my parents' record(yes, record) and jump up and down in the living room.
4. Anybody who wants to play!
