Although I find this Biography book interesting, I am not sure it is best for an early childhood education classroom. I believe it is authentic in its writing and I think Jack Gantos really explored the true depth of his life through his writing, making it feel real to the reader. It is far complex and everything about it is very true to life. It is simply just not something accurate for kids I will teach.

This book would have to be for older kids, probably even in advanced levels. I think the message of how you can turn your life back from something good to something you've always wanted is important and valuable. I also think its far too out of reach for some kids to comprehend at a young age and it might contain aspects that make them uncomfortable.

I would recommend this book to middle school students because of the heavy content it contains. It talks about how a child had to navigate the world on his own.

Full Book- This book was a autobiography. It tells the story of how a young man without supervision ended up in in prison. This story is very authentic because it is an autobiography. The author has a lot of information into his own life and he writes it in detail.

This was a great book! I think that I really related to the story because I know that helpless feeling of trying to come up with money. I obviously didn't turn to selling drugs, but I understand the helplessness. I think a lot of people would be able to identify with Gantos and learn something from this story. I think that this book would be best suited for a middle or high school classroom, but it is a good pick!

This biography tells the story of an aspiring writer who took a few wrong turns in life. He sells drugs and ends up behind bars. Before this story, I had never even heard of Jack Gantos! I think this book was really interesting and I learned a lot about Gantos. I think this was a great book.

I like how this book showed how one used his life story of making the wrong decisions and being in jail into something that inspired him to start writing and find a career. Hole in my life is a interesting book but the back cover seems to explain pretty much the whole stories. Don't do drugs kids seems to be the message of the whole song

Hole in My Life is an enjoyable quick read about the author‘s early adult years when he, despite having a clear plan to become a writer, made a string of bad choices that landed him in prison. It‘s a great book to recommend for teens who feel like they‘ve ruined their entire lives.
