Comixology has the entire Wayward series on sale right now so I picked up all 5 volumes.

Really enjoying it so far. This young girl moves to Japan & discovers that she has magic...and she's not the only one.

Its very YA/Buffy the Vampire feeling and the art is is very manga(ish) which is super cool.

Definitely digging it. 🤘

So glad I was able to meet the translator for this series at the comic-con this past weekend - Zachary Davisson, really nice and informative guy 👍

Anyways, I enjoyed this volume even though I was confused as to where the protagonist was throughout this installment 😅 Good stuff.

Also, I ended up getting through 7 more books today on the car ride to my grandparents 🙈 now I'm at 427 for my year total. Most of these are comics. Could you imagine reading this many actual novels in one year? I'd go blind!!!!!!!

🕷The second volume takes the foundation from volume one and builds upon it with new characters.
🕷Plot is intricate & has much more depth & dimension with its progression.
🕷The world & special characters are very much reminiscent to Mutants from X-Men.
🕷The overarching premise is still slightly vague.
🕷Worried the story is slightly ambitious for what's been exhibited this far.
🕷Still very story driven.

Book 1 of @DeweysReadathon ! I thought I'd have a better idea of what was going on after reading this second volume, and I really don't. I think I'll bail on this series unless the library gets volume three. It's not bad, I just don't really care what happens.
