Music . . . the heart's greatest librarian. The average song is three and a half minutes long; those three and a half minutes could lead to a slow blink, a glimpse of the past, or catapult the soul into heart-shattering nostalgia. At the height of my career, I had the life I wanted, the life I'd always envisioned. I'd found my tempo, my rhythm. Then I received a phone call that left me off key.You see, my favorite songs had a way of playing simultaneously. I was in love with one man's beats and another's lyrics. But when it came to the soundtrack of a life, how could anyone choose a favorite song? So, to erase any doubt, I ditched my first-class ticket and decided to take a drive, fixed on the rearview. Two days. One playlist. And the long road home to the man who was waiting for me.

For me this was a ⭐️⭐️⭐️ read. There were times Stella annoyed me. Still this is an emotional read. I loved how she tied music to the way we process emotion. #romantsy

We follow Stella, a music journalist through the dramas of her love life. Starts in the present and goes back and forth filling in the pieces of the story. Each chapter is titled after a song which lyrics have significant relevance to what is happening at the time. Loved all the characters.

I can easily see Drive being someone's heart and soul wrapped into one. It's probably not my #1 as far as Kate Stewart goes, but I LOVED THIS BOOK. The Ravenhood is my favorite of Kate's, but man did Drive get me. Kate captured a very deep-seated battle of mine in the Ravenhood duet, about how the men in your life can change you. Exodus broke my heart and made it bigger, leaving it to forever beat in tune with George Michael's Father Figure;)
