Our latest #litereads selection was Some Gods of El Paso by Maria Dahvana Headley, an #alternatehistory story about Prohibition-era Texas and a couple on the run from the law for illegally dealing in emotions. It is a unique and fascinating story, and a fun read. Recommended, with a note for tw for suicide.

unsurprisingly, this sort story (novella?) is GREAT. totally different in feel from MAGONIA or QUEEN OF KINGS, but with her signature inspired creativity. sex work + Prohibition + emotions as drugs!
