Middle-schooler Cora and her mom, and sister Adare, who‘s special, are still reeling from their dad‘s sudden death. Mom‘s trying to hold it all together but they are essentially homeless in NYC - no transportation, little $ or food, no other family. The beauty is in the path Cora takes to discover a deeper truth about belonging, and her place in the world. Well-written debut.
