As a new series debuts, a young lawyer races to save his client from execution, putting him at odds with his own father: Thomas Pitt, head of Londons Special Police Branch. 1910: Twenty-five-year-old Daniel Pitt is a junior barrister in London and eager to prove himself, independent of his renowned parents influence. And the new case before him will be the test. When his client, arrogant biographer Russell Graves, is found guilty of murdering his wife, Daniel is dispatched to find the real killer before Graves faces the hangmans noosein only twenty-one days. Could Mrs. Gravess violent death have anything to do with her husbands profession? Someone in power may be framing the biographer to keep damaging secrets from coming to light. It is a theory that leads Daniels investigation unexpectedly to Londons Special Branchand, disturbingly, to one of his fathers closest colleagues. Caught between duty to the law and a fierce desire to protect his family, Daniel must call on his keen intellectand trust his natural instinctsto find the truth in a tangle of dark deception, lest an innocent man hang for anothers heinous crime.

Pickpick

One of my most anticipated releases of 2018:

✔ New series (Daniel Pitt #1) - the son of Thomas & Charlotte Pitt from the Pitt series. It's exciting to see how Daniel is carrying on his family's mystery solving tradition.
✔ Multilayered mystery
✔ Intriguing plot
✔ Heart-pounding storytelling with race-against-clock pace

❌ Rushed ending

Rating: 4.5🌟

🌟THANK YOU @miralunasbooknook for this #curiousheartgiveaway!🌟

Anne Perry's Twenty-One Days is my most anticipated (so far) release of 2018. She written two series - 1) Monk 2) Charlotte and Thomas Pitt series - both in Victorian era. This book is her new series in Edwardian era with Daniel Pitt (the son of Charlotte & Thomas) as the main character, carrying on the mystery solving tradition of his parents. It's refreshing!

I am counting down the days until study is finished for the year 😁 and I can start reading fiction again. I can't do both at once, my brain won't allow me!

Got an ARC of this and I'm enjoying it, but I read until I drop off and my Kindle hits me in the face. Reading can be dangerous!

Dianeham I get hit in the face with my ipad in bed. I have a little stand for it when I am using it but sometimes it falls over. 6y

I am so excited! A couple days after I joined LibraryThing, I signed up for their early reviewer program. I looked through the list and just put my name on the list for a couple of the selections. I got a message that I was chosen to receive the tagged book, which was really my first choice. I love Anne Perry. I can‘t wait for the book to arrive😄

Louise Wow! What wonderful "beginner's luck"! ? 6y
Lynnsoprano @Louise I was shocked! 6y

Lynnsoprano @4thhouseontheleft Congratulations 🎉 I never expected to be chosen at all, but especially for this one, because it was obviously a popular choice. 6y
