Blast Off! Is a P book that has various poems all on the subject of space. This would be great for teaching young elementary students the basics of poetry and it would be a fun introduction to a space unit. You could use any of the poems as a RA, S, or PR. #UCFLAE3414F17

LaurenR ESOL Standards: #5-teach technical vocabulary supporting key concepts. #34-de-emphasize speed and emphasize accuracy of work. UDL Principles: #2.2- clarify syntax and structure. #2.1-clarify vocabulary and symbols. 6y
laurie_jayy Hey! I totally agree that this would be a great way to lead into a science lesson. Not only are you teaching science but you‘re also teaching poetry. It‘s amazing when you can do two things at once! Lol 6y
SarahWynne Poetry and science combined, what is better than that?! Love this post and you‘re strategies are great! 6y
