so-soI just couldn‘t seem to get into this one. It‘s in translation from the original Belgian and the author has written other books that haven‘t been translated so I think we‘re missing the ‘backstory‘ here.
The author goes to stay with her friend in #syria but it is difficult to work out why. It seems to be for a ‘holiday‘ but the country is already under Assad‘s rule, her friend‘s husband is a political prisoner and the author puts her friend ⬇️

BarbaraBB I really liked this one but I read it in Dutch and in the same year she traveled through Syria I did too so it was very recognizable for me. 3y
