Rascal, Rogue, Traitor . . . hero? It is the winter of 1670. Colonel Thomas Blood has fallen on hard times. A man used to fighting, he lives by his wits and survives by whatever means necessary. Holcroft, his son, has entered the employ of the Duke of Buckingham, one of the most powerful men in the kingdom after the king. It is there that his education really begins. Both father and son must learn what it is to survive in a more dangerous battlefield than war - the court of King Charles II. One missed step could prove fatal . . .

Finished! This book was fantastic. Loved the characters (Holcroft was my favourite!) And the plot was seat of your pants engaging. I am definitely going to pick up more of Angus Donald's work! #readersfirst
Anyone else receive this? What were your thoughts?

TrishB No I didn't go for that one! Sounds fab though. 7y
rabbitprincess I really want to read his Robin Hood series! This one sounds interesting too. 7y
laurieluna @rabbitprincess it was such a fun book. I would love to see this made into a film or mini series for TV. I could really imagine what was happening when reading it, great writing. 7y

Sophoclessweetheart Mine arrived today too!! I'm excited to get to it! Haven't had time to read any from them yet because I've had scheduled reviews for publishers to get through. Hopefully soon! X 7y
laurieluna @drokka I don't believe so! No mention of him in the blurb anyway. Still a good read so far though, has a very three musketeers feel. 7y
