Mehso-so

This is the graphic novel for the video game Plants vs Zombies. It was okay. I think I'm too old for it. The graphics were good though. Zombies invade a neighborhood and the plants fight back 🌻🧟‍♂️

GingerAntics I absolutely love that he's got at least part of what he's supposed to be eating in his hand. Still doesn't seem to even notice it. lol 6y

Ddzmini That‘s awesome I read to my granddaughter all the time 😝📖 6y
readinginthedark @GingerAntics Exactly right! I had to keep reminding him to eat while he read. 😆 6y
readinginthedark @MicrobeMom Thank you! Plants vs. Zombies and Pokémon are his favorite things right now! 6y
GingerAntics @readinginthedark I guess you‘ve got the better of the two options. If he‘s starving to death, he‘ll remember the food in his hand. Nature will take over to make him eat. I‘m not sure there is a similar mechanism to make him read. I‘m continuously shocked by the number of adults I come into contact with on a daily basis who have never read a whole book in their lives and have no intention of ever doing so. 6y
readinginthedark @GingerAntics 😆True! And I know; it‘s so sad. I think people usually just haven‘t found the right book. And then you have those who had a really hard time learning to read and it‘s all negative associations now. 😕 6y
GingerAntics @readinginthedark I totally agree. When I run into kids who say they hate reading, I try to help them find a book about something they‘re interested in, because I‘m pretty sure it‘s just they‘ve never found the right book. They way they teaching reading is ridiculous, and now I‘ve even seen some people teaching it as a competition. It‘s sad. The poor kids. 6y
readinginthedark @GingerAntics Yeah, I haven‘t seen the competitive part, but I definitely think the key is finding something they‘ll enjoy early on. Then there‘s less focus on the reading itself until they‘re more comfortable with it. (edited) 6y
Maria514626 A little guy reading at the table. Love that! 6y
