Holy Secret Bunker Batman! This was the sequel to Nemesis and was yet another crazy ride. Action packed and super fast paced I had to keep going. Suspense filled till literally the last page. There is some teen angst (ok a lot of teen angst) but the plot just keeps moving. Not much extra time for brooding. Lots of twists. I am ready for the final book in the trilogy! Fans of Maze Runner would like this series I think. Very fun. 4⭐️

FINALLY finished the second book in the Nemesis series - I liked it so I think my slowness was just due to my being distracted a lot. This book was INCREDIBLY dark but redeemed itself in the end. So looking forward to the third and final book, Chrysalis - just put a hold on it at the library.

Glad this one is over. Dragged on a bit, sorry a lot.

Patiently (kinda) awaiting my turn to watch Game of Thrones with this continuation of this post-apocalyptic YA techno-thriller. 🤔 I generously offered to let my sister and brother-in-law use my HBO Now account to watch GOT first since he has to get up at 4. I‘m counting down the minutes to find out how the show is going to let me down this week. 🤣

After spending the last 4ish hours baking a homemade carrot cake for my family Easter dinner tomorrow, I‘m finally crawling into bed to start my next read. This is the sequel to Nemesis, which I listened to a few weeks ago. It‘s a strange post-apocalyptic/techno thriller/YA mashup.

Yikes! The world is over. The remaining "lucky" 64 teenagers in Fire Lake have to do whatever it takes to survive their new reality. The only way out of their hell is to execute their former classmates in order to move on to the next phase of Project Nemesis, the secret government project which is the only reason they're still alive in the first place. Min & Noah will have decide if they have what it takes to lead, flee, or trust each other.

Lord of the Flies meets The 100 in this high-octane follow up to Nemesis. While there were some parts that dragged a little, the thrilling battle scenes & twisty plot made this unputdownable. Noah‘s redemption arc felt a bit sudden, but I still loved Min, fierce & full of uncompromising principles. The romance was engaging & not too in your face, which fit the plot well. The end left room for a wildly different next installment. Can‘t wait! ★★★★☆.

Another sequel. Book one is sitting on my shelf upstairs. Maybe this is the year I will get it read.

My workplace view at the moment. So ready for Christmas!

I slept poorly, to say the least. But morning eventually came, and with enough coffee and books, I'll get through today. Thankfully it's the easiest day of my working week! And our Asst. Manager (and all around bookstore whisperer) is back, which means a day off soon! ❤📚❤
