Labyrinths for the Spirit
Labyrinths for the Spirit: How to Create Your Own Labyrinths for Meditation and Enlightenment | Jim Buchanan
1 post | 1 to read
Start out small by making scaled-down labyrinths from shells, clay or sand. Mark special occasions, such as weddings, feasts and festivals by making temporary labyrinths, and create more permanent labyrinths for regular meditative practice in brick, concrete, turf, stones or rocks.

#Celestial/Solstice #riotgrams When I lived in Southern California, I had a wonderful Chiropractor/Healer.In the back of her cottage that was also her office, there was a labyrinth .Simple, painted on concrete, but when it was dark , and outlined in candles, it was beautiful. She invited her clients to do a labyrinth walk on the solstice . A time to walk in silence, contemplate, and mark that the seasons are in flow, miss that and her,a lot.

elkeOriginal Wow - that sounds amazing 💕 7y
Jess_Read_This Omigosh, how neat. What a beautiful thing to do for her clients. 7y
ValerieAndBooks I walked through a Labyrinth on the Delaware Art Museum grounds last weekend and am still thinking about the experience (even though it could have used some weeding)! ETA: it was laid out with stones as its path. (edited) 7y
Leftcoastzen @ValerieAndBooks Sounds cool. Will check it out if I am lucky enough to go there. 7y
ValerieAndBooks I'm going to see if my library has this book or something like it! 7y
