One Piece, Vol. 4
One Piece, Vol. 4: The Black Cat Pirates | Eiichir? Oda
5 posts | 14 read
Captain Kuro of the Black Cat Pirates was the most feared evil genius on the high seas...until he vanished. Most people believe he's dead, but only his crew knows the truth: Captain Kuro has been lying low in a small seaside village, posing as a mild-mannered butler until the time for pillage is just right. Now that time has come, and the ruthless Black Cat Pirates are about to attack... Unless, of course, Monkey D.Luffy can stop them! All Luffy has on his side are his sword-wielding first mate, Zolo; his thieving navigator, Nami; Usopp, a local kid with a knack for telling lies; and his own bizarre rubber-limbed powers. If these four amateur pirates want to stop the entire Black Cat crew, they'll have to come up with a pretty slick plan... -- VIZ Media

The crew is in a world of trouble when they encounter the lost captain of The Black Cat pirates. After reading SBS panels, its interesting to see the ideas had for constructing his characters and certain scenes in One Piece (the grossest thing to find out from SBS was that Django didn't bath and grew a mushroom on his chin😫) #manga

Okay. It's still good. It's still hilarious. And this volume was a bit of a punch to the feels! What does it truly mean to be a pirate? What does it truly mean to be brave? And which way is North?? Volume 4 leaves you hanging but the story just keeps getting better!

I guess I'll be putting Volume 5 on hold....

On to the next book! I'm waiting for this series to drop in quality for me... so far, nope. Only 79(?) more volumes to go... #thankfulforthelibrary #currentlyreading

One to the next! We might be heading to trade in everything on Sunday, so One-Piece is the priority at the moment.

Anyone have any manga #recommendations? I prefer sci-fi/fantasy but I will try anything even romance and contemporary.

BookFreakOut I haven't read the manga, but I just finished watching season 1 of One Punch Man and it was ridiculously hilarious! 7y
InLibrisVeritas @BookFreakOut Yes!! I'm in the middle of both right now. Unfortunately my library system doesn't have the newest two manga 😔 7y

My boyfriend plans to trade in his One-Piece manga so this is why my TBR looks like for the next few days. Here's hoping I actually enjoy them. 😅
