Possibly my favourite Tintin: a fast-paced plot, yetis, Haddock, beautiful art.

I loved it! The Captain is so perfect. ? Blustering and crotchety, but always there for Tintin.

*Bella says "Good job, Snowy!" (She isn't passed out - She listens better with her eyes closed ?)

I am going to seek out the other Tintin stories! Possibly in the original version, to help me improve my horrible French. ?

Thank you so much, @sisilia !

sisilia Glad that you like the gang. The captain is crazy 😂 6y

Thank you, thank you, thank you @sisilia ! I love it all!!! Lovely gifts! REAL tea, candy, sticky notes and (con'd in comments) I've never read a Japanese mystery, or surprisingly, a Sue Grafton - so both great ideas! I'm very excited to try a new golden age British mystery & the cover is 😍! I may have squealed a bit when I unwrapped Tintin! After we talked about it, I've been on the lookout, but I hadn't found one yet. I can't wait to read it!!

mabell The bookmark! ❤️ My husband and I are botanical garden people, so what a perfect gift! I have actually read about Gardens by the Bay before and put it on my hope-to-do list! Thank you! #booktoteswap 6y
mabell Oh my goodness, and I love the tote bag! The pattern is just what I would pick! 6y
sisilia Yay, I‘m glad that you like them 😄 Enjoy! 6y

This is the book that started everything. I was a loner as a kid, and I found new friends in this series. ❤️❤️❤️

mcipher Tintin!! ❤️❤️❤️ he's awesome! Snowy and Captain Haddock are my faves. 7y
tournevis My favorite Tintin, this one. Though L'Île noire started it all for me. For my some, it's a toss up btw Le Speptre d'Ottokar and L'Étoile mystérieuse. 7y
sisilia @tournevis My favorites are the linked stories Le Secret de La Licorne / Le Trésor de Rackham (I was hoping to live in Marlinspike Hall one day. Imagine all the treasures there ?) ... and le Rouge Les Sept Boules de Cristal / Le Temple du Soleil ?They are so funny!!! 7y

sisilia @mcipher I learned a lot bad words from Haddock. My friends were all dumbfounded 😝 7y
mabell I've only seen the feature film - I think I need to read these! 7y
Kimzey I want to learn more about Tintin! Thanks! 7y
mcipher @mabell The cartoons are amazing, too. But of course the books are best. 😝 7y
tournevis @sisilia Of the link stories, the Moon cycle is both my son's and my favorite 7y
sisilia @mabell @mcipher I watched the movie and went crazy! "No, no, no, this is blasphemy!! You shall not mix story lines!!!" ?I've read the whole series for at least 30 times so I'm quite a hard core fan (edited) 7y
mabell @sisilia @mcipher after that high praise, I'll definitely have to pick them up! 7y
mcipher I have never seen the movie but the show is good - and split by story. 😝 Enjoy! They're fabulous fun. @mabell (edited) 7y

#Day1 of #riotgram is #shelfie. So here is my son's bookshelf in his bedroom, most of the Tintin books are piled by the bed.
