pickThis is the Dutch translation of The witch of Portobello. This is the book I've had the longest. I thought it would be difficult, but it was an easy philosophical read. I expect I'll have to chew for a while on the meaning and purpose of this book.
TBR since October 10th. 2007; 269 pages.
panThis is my 2nd book from this author & I'm just not a fan. His writing is really incredible, a very classic feel, but his stories are too weird & philosophically out "there." I find myself uninterested & skim reading quickly to get to the end. The end of this one, however almost redeemed this book.
#3books I hated. Well, I didn‘t hate the tagged book, it was just very underwhelming, but the other two... yeah.

pickI loved this book, a lot! It was suggested to me years ago and I can‘t believe it took me so long to get to it. It really made me think, especially on topics of identity and purpose. It had a lot of statements on society and reactions to feminine side of religion and a woman “being ahead of her time” in current time which was fascinating to read!
Just starting this book but the concept of the style already has me intrigued, a “biography” of the protagonist told through the eyes of others!
pickPicked this book up for a dollar at the Berkeley book festival. I was drawn to the title and the cover. When I first started reading I was confused I had never read a book with this style of writing! I love this book! To learn about a character from different perspectives was super interesting! This book is beautiful and made me feel, question, and yearn to be different.

#QuotsyApril18 Day 13: When love is a constant state of #Anxiety according to Brazilian novelist, Paulo Coelho. This kind of love must be exhausting. I‘m all in for a quiet kinda love minus the agony, thank you very much.
As a seeker of spirituality myself, I could strongly relate to the various things stated in the book. Recommended to anyone who has the slightest interest in the ways of the Universe and mysticism and also to anyone who is ready to keep an open mind to try and at least see the possibility of various depths to the human perception.
I can also most certainly say that anyone who has enjoyed reading The Alchemist will like this book too!
