Just letting my team know that I received my next #LMPBC novel day this week. I‘ll be starting it asap!

I loved this #LMPBC @vonnie862 chose, I teared up several times as it‘s so much like the students I‘ve mentored and taught reading to for 36(!) years. I have purchased a soft cover for my library and a hard cover for the library. Thank you so much Vonnie. This just was unexpected and although bittersweet, a necessary read.

This was a quick read but full of heart. I loved the main character and the people around her. Though Restrepo touched on the topic of immigration, she also mentioned racism, gang initiation, and losing faith in God. I give this 4 ⭐️.

The power and internet went out at our school. As soon as the kids went home, I went home myself. I figured I'll start this month's #LMPBC book for #round17 #GroupA. I'm looking forward to this read.
