Tailing a Tabby
Tailing a Tabby: A Bookmobile Cat Mystery | Laurie Cass
7 posts | 7 read | 4 to read
In the bookmobile, librarian Minnie Hamilton and her rescue cat, Eddie, roll out great summer reads to folks all over the lake town of Chilson, Michigan. And when real-life drama turns deadly, Minnie makes sure justice is never overdue. The bookmobile is making its usual rounds when Minnie and Eddie are flagged down by a woman in distress. The woman’s husband, a famous artist, needs emergency medical care. After getting him into the bookmobile, Minnie races the man to the hospital in time…but his bad luck has only just begun. After disappearing from the hospital, the artist is discovered slumped over the body of a murdered woman. Minnie knows that her new friend didn’t commit the crime, but the evidence paints an unflattering picture. Now this librarian and her furry friend have to put the investigation in high gear and catch the real killer before someone else checks out.

I find this series a little aggressively quirky and on a professional level I question the heroine's dedication to patron privacy and library policy. But I still mostly enjoy it.

mabell “Aggressively quirky” 😂😂 Cozies can definitely be prone to that! 4mo
batsy @mabell Yes, so true! I love that term @quietjenn 😆 4mo

Still loving this series, though the main character is a TAD overly naive- so I picked up the second one for my #cozymystery for the #ReadHarder challenge! @bookriot . Sadly my child is not nearly as helpful as Eddie....here he is trying to claim my binoculars as a pillow!

Hanging with this cranky old girl. Meaning to read this book but mostly just goofing off on my phone. I was out of the house at 5:30 am and I am so not a morning person, so my brain is just woooooo!! 😆 I did finish painting a closet, teach yoga, work, go to therapy, clean my bathroom, and make nachos though, so it‘s been a productive long day.

Texreader Beautiful cranky girl!😻 7mo
AlaMich You clearly do not live in the Polar Vortex Zone. Ain‘t nobody here in Chicago going nowhere! 🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶 7mo

A short book and coffee break after leaving my day job and picking up my kid from school before I leave to teach my yoga class (in my most wild new yoga pants). It‘s crazy busy but I‘m so excited to get to do this!! (Plus this series is great).

Great cozy series. Doesn't get much better than a librarian and her feline companion, Eddie.

2nd book in the series. I thought the first one was better, but still enjoyed this one.

LauraBeth These books look so cute! 3y
Tanner @LauraBeth And Eddie is very similar to my Mikey-Cat. I love that Eddie is very involved without being ridiculous. 3y

So many #cozymysteries are set in libraries or bookstores. This cute series revolves around Minnie who is in charge of the mobile library. She loans out books, along with her helper Eddie, a cat, and finds dead people. (I thought this was the first in the series but after reading the description I'm not so sure of that.) #seasonsreadings2016

TheLondonBookworm This picture is so cute! 3y
drokka You are correct. Lending a Paw is the first. This is the second in the series. 3y
MMenefee @drokka Thanks for confirming that! 3y
