“I and Pangur do each our task, and share our peaceful days.“
“I and Pangur do each our task, and share our peaceful days.“
Join a thoughtful monk and his white cat, Pangur, as they spend their days doing what they love most. The White Cat and the Monk is a warm story about friendship and finding joy in everyday routines.
This story celebrates friendship and doing what you love. Jo Ellen Bogart‘s retelling of an old Irish poem captures the peaceful life of a monk and his white cat, Pangur, who happily spend their days side by side
#ReadingResolutions Day 20: Definitely not #Rich by other people‘s standards, but this ascetic monk treasures “the wealth to be found in my books.” I find this book to be a profound meditation on a #rich life surrounded by books, the companionable solitude with a beloved pet who has its own equally-weighty pursuits, and the search for meaning and light in what once was dark. My TRIBE! My full review here: https://wp.me/pDlzr-euG
I loved that book, and I discovered it on Litsy 😍😍😍
The pic quote is just perfect, I think that a lot of us feel that way ;) I highly recommend this gem!!!
Here are the two #bookswithpictures that I intend to read today... Need to work on some translations first 😖

Not exactly #setinalibrary but in the Middle Ages most monasteries had a library of some sort, most books were actually found in monasteries. This is a lovely book based on an Old Irish poem that a monk scribbled in a manuscript. About him and his cat Pangur Ban (White Fuller) and how they live together. It's so beautiful and my favourite Old Irish poem.
'Me and Pangur Ban my cat,
'Tis a like task we're at.'
