Little Santa | Jon Agee

Ever wonder what Santa was like as a child? Award-winning author/illustrator Jon Agee brings us the funny, playful answer in this Christmas picture book destined to become a classic. Little Santa loves the North Pole. The rest of his family? Not so much. So, when they decide to move to Florida, Santa is miserable. Lucky for him, a blizzard foils their plans. The only way out of the house is up the chimney. Up goes Santa, to look for help, and along the way, he meets a reindeer and a large group of elves, who are more than eager to join in the rescue! With the sly humor of Jon Klassen and the read-aloud pleasure of How the Grinch Stole Christmas, this tale of Santas beginnings is perfect for every kids holiday library.

What books did you guys get this year? 😃

Luminessa Plan to pick up a book with my gift card when i go out later. Not sure what kind of book yet. 😛 5y
BookNAround I was on the naughty list this year so no books. (Our trip was our Christmas present so...) I did get an amazon gc from my sil though so once we get home, I‘ll pick a few things for myself. 😁 5y
CocoReads Lots of books, bookmarks, and a b&n gift card from my parents. I posted pics last night and am at work right now, so anyone who‘s curious can go back through my profile. 😊 Hope everyone‘s having a fantastic day! 5y

AsYouWish I got 14 books! I can't wait to read all of them! 5y
julesG @BookNAround Similar here - I must have been very naughty, considering no family member gave me a book. I am the anti-Professor-Dumbledore. I never get books, socks, sweaters, cleaning products or this year's package of cheese. 😵😵😵 But I got books from a few Littens (@Sarah83 @Schnoebs @scripturient @Heideschrampf) and three books from Library Thing's Santa Thing. 5y
julesG Now that I have so many books to read, I should definitely check out how to speed read anything. I know how to tackle scientific papers, but novels are a different thing. 5y
Rudis I got 7 books, plus some giftcards for Chapters! And reading socks! 😍📚 5y
BeansPage @julesG this may be a good start for you: https://youtu.be/xiTK523Ot5U 5y
julesG Thanks! 5y
julesG Okay, so that's basically what I do with textbooks/journals and have taught my students to do. I am still hesitant to use this method for novels. I will just have to take the plunge - FOMO be damned. 5y
TheSpineView I have so many books my family says they are afraid to buy me one. Therefore I get gift cards. Which I spent most of buying the box set of Throne of Glass. 5y
jfalkens I got 4 books from my husband. The One and Only Ivan, The Wishtree and Storm Runner I got early and I got the tagged book before Christmas with my in-laws. My mother-in-law did get me a Harry Potter mystery wand and that came with a bookmark of the wand owner. My parents got me a couple book stands(to display books on) but I haven't set them up yet. 5y
jfalkens Did you get anything bookish for Christmas? My husband also got me a book t-shirt from tee turtle and since I forgot to tag the other book it's this one 😂 5y
LapReader Unfortunately none 😭 5y
BeansPage @jfalkens my mother bought me Harry Potter and the Cursed Child as well as the entire Harry Potter DVD set. So now I am 100% ready for our Harry Potter buddy read in 2019! 😃 5y

Pickpick

Doing #Advent with the toddler. Randomized titles of Christmas and winter books. This was today's read and it's one of my favorite books ever. 🎅🏻
