This slim, little collection tells stories about love in its various forms. From Eros, erotic love, to Storge, natural affection for family, to Agape, love for humanity. I liked Nikesh Shukla‘s story about love for yourself, Carys Bray‘s story about Storge, and I loved Bernadine Evaristo‘s story about Agape, which featured God looking down at humanity. The rest of the stories were kind of meh to me, and I didn‘t really connect to those.

Kalalalatja @Moray_Reads I always struggle a bit with realistic short stories, so I think that‘s part of the reason why I didn‘t fall in love with it. 6y

I‘m taking these two short reads home with me for Christmas #Vacation on Friday. I‘m taking a break from exams and moving until the 27th, and in the mean time I plan on reading these two and maybe some of my (hopefully) bookish Christmas presents 🎁📚

I have a feeling that this stack will end up giving me all the #feels. Which is why I both anticipating and dressing picking them up. Mostly the first, though.

I did have all the feels yesterday, since it was my last day as a student instructor. I have spent 3 semesters with the sweetest class, and I'm sad to say goodbye to them. ❤️

I know this much, my heart can barely hold everything in this short but astonishing collection. It is very nearly perfect (just one miss, for me). Each confronts a different form of love, between couples, friends and families. It doesn't blink at the darker side of love, the selfish and hurtful and lost but there's a lot of beauty and the writing is stunning. It grabs the hearts and squeezes.

I love the cover of this book, and the stories inside it are all pretty special. Seven authors write stories about seven concepts of love. They're not overly sentimental, just great writing.
